I guess it was just a matter of time, but I’m still not happy about it…

ABC is turning “High School Musical” into a reality show.

The series will show a nationwide talent hunt, followed by the chosen few showing their skills at a music conservatory. The prospective Troys and Gabriellas will be eliminated each week until a winner is chosen. No word on what the winner will receive.

“HSM” stars are expected to appear during the show, which will likely premiere this summer…
