Metal thefts

Remember the good old days of about nine months ago when low-lifes stole copper wiring from construction sites or the copper plumbing from your home when you were away for a few days? Now they go lower. Over the weekend, someone stole a bronze front door from a mausoleum in a Huntington cemetery and 13 bronze window bar gaurds. Total value: $20,000.

Some scrap metal dealer has to be in on this. What dealer wouldn't think twice about a couple of good boys arriving with a big bronze door and a dozen bronze bars in their pickup? Not something you would see every day, right?

What's next? Digging up graves in search of copper caskets that can be salvaged? What will lowlifes do next to feed whatever habits they have?
