Manufacturing jobs in Cabell County

According to numbers from the West Virginia Bureau of Employment Programs, Cabell County had more manufacturing jobs than any other West Virginia county last year. The top five counties in manufacturing employent, with the number of manufacturing jobs in those counties, were Cabell, 5,071; Kanawha, 4,663; Wood, 4.403; Hancock, 4,298; and Hardy, 3,584. Those five counties had just short of one-third of all manufacturing jobs in the state.

However, manufacturing jobs in Kanawha and Wood counties paid more on average than those in Cabell County.
