Talk About A Frivolous Lawsuit.

This story takes the cake, as far as I am concerned. It seems that a group that wants to have all animal fighting legalized, has filed a Federal lawsuit in Columbus OH, to do just that. Last year, the Animal Welfare Act (AWA) was updated to make animal fighting a felony.


It includes transporting animals across state lines and advertising fights. Former Ohio attorney general Jim Petro represents the Humane Society of the United States.

Athletes Should Be Accountable No Matter.

While reading the Herald Dispatch this morning, I came upon a story about 2 baseball players that had been videoed releasing roosters at a cockfight. Though cockfighting is legal in the home country of these two players, they should not have been involved in this activity. They are famous athletes that represent the United States, where this activity is illegal. Animal fighting is cruel and anyone associated with this cruel and inhumane "sport" should be held accountable. If you have comments on this, please post them.
