This is a fabulous organization that offers many ways to help dogs that are chained up every day of their lives. This is a very miserable situation for a dog, as they are pack animals and thrive on companionship. Whether it be human or another animal. It does not necessarily have to be another canine that they bond with. I had an American Saddlebred horse that had to have a stall mate. He loved a little pygmy goat named Snappy. When we would go to shows, Snappy had to go, or Argillite, my horse, would not load in the the horse trailer. Actually, the stable I was with used a tractor-trailer to haul with.
