Luke Jivetalker coming to the V Club

Imagine taking Phish, Gov't Mule, the Allman Brothers, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Stevie Ray Vaughn and locking them up in a room together to make a new album.

With that in mind, Luke Jivetalker is a band that sounds like the above project's cover band. They have a rich soulful sound with just enough grit to sound like the perfect desperado at a bar soundtrack.

Luckily, you can run the soundtrack as you throw back a few at the Thursday show at the V Club. The show starts at 10pm according to the V Club Web site, which means you probably won't miss much if you roll in a little later, not that socializing a bit before a little blues jam isn't good for the soul.
