The Claymates Go To War...With Each Other

According to an article in the “New York Post,” the Claymates are at war—with each other…

The reason for their fighting? A source told the “Post” that fans are divided over the topic that has plagued Clay for his entire career—his sexuality.

According to the article, the fighting got so bad that Clay’s official fan club shut down its message board, posting this message: “Due to reports of extensive unrest and disrespect amongst members that has been carrying on for several weeks, the Official Fan Club Message Board will be shut down until further notice. Please note that should tensions continue on other areas of the fan club, severe consequences may occur.”

The message board returned yesterday.

As to what particular incident got the Claymates riled up, I have no idea…

"Idol" Week on "Live"

"Live With Regis and Kelly" will feature several "Idol" alumni during its "Idol" week this week...

And yes, I think we all know which alum will not be a part of the week--even though his recent co-hosting stint on "The Morning Show With Mike and Juliet" showed us that Clay is a natural for it...

Elliott Yamin will start things off Tuesday, March 20th with a performance of his first single, "Movin' On." Of course, March 20th is the release date of his CD.

Then Wednesday, March 21st, Bucky Covington will perform his single, "Different World."

Thursday, March 22nd, it's Josh Gracin's turn to perform.

And on Friday, March 23rd, this week's eliminated contestant will perform. If there's any justice in the world it will be Sanjaya, but can America really handle another performance from him? Maybe it will be their punishment for keeping him in there so long...

Normally I would watch all of these performances and tell you about them, but since I have made a vow to never watch "Live" again--especially with Regis gone--you all will have to tell me about them.

I'm especially intrigued by Elliott Yamin making "Live" his first stop on his publicity junket. As those of you who watch the show know, "Live" is not the easiest place to perform with the early hour and Gelman's strict two-minute rule. It should also make Bucky's performance fairly interesting...

Clay Tries the Co-Hosting Thing Again

Some parents leave their children phone messages to wish them a good day. Some parents leave their children messages to tell them to be careful in the snow or to tell them to watch what they eat.

But my mom leaves me messages to tell me when Clay Aiken is going to be on TV.

Isn’t she the best?

And besides, if no one is going to bother to update Clay’s website, somebody has to tell me…

Clay will try the morning show co-host gig again, but this time it’s on the new syndicated show, “The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet.” Clay will be co-hosting this Thursday, February 22nd. And as you can see from this ad on the show’s website, it looks like Clay is going to tackle the Kelly controversy head-on.

To find where “Mike and Juliet” airs in your area, go to http://www.mandjshow.com/where-to-watch/. The show airs in the Huntington area at 11 a.m. on WSAZ…

Clay's Good Works

Since Clay Aiken’s website wasn’t being updated regularly, I quit checking it—which is why I missed telling you about his appearance on “Good Morning America” yesterday.

Clay was there to talk about his work as an ambassador for UNICEF, and of course, answer a few questions about “American Idol.” You can check out the great work he is doing on his UNICEF page at: http://www.unicefusa.org. Just click on Who We Are and then Celebrity Ambassadors.

You can also spend Valentine’s Day with Clay by tuning into “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on February 14th. “Kimmel” airs at 12:05 a.m. (So be sure to set your VCRs for February 15th) in most markets but in Huntington/Charleston, he airs at 1:05 a.m…

In other good news for Clay, “A Thousand Days” is climbing up the Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart. It's now at #25 with a bullet...
