Hollywood Round 3: Inside Room #1

So tonight it looks like we’re going to see some of the same and a few things different, as it appears the “Green Mile” episode has been eliminated this season. BOO HISS!

So now that we’re in the part of the show that I know how it works, I figured I’d go ahead and start blogging…

71 people remained at the beginning of the final individual performances. The contestants are backed by the band, but they receive no feedback from the judges.

We get our first glimpse of the three holding rooms…

Among the contestants in Room 1: Casey, Tyler (my guy) and Todrick. In Room 2: Kia, Mary, Hope and Christian. In Room 3: Shelby, Haeley, Maddy, Jessica and Angela…

Fade to Angela’s final performance of “American Boy.” I was beginning to wonder where she’d been since we hadn’t seen her. She alludes to “what she’s going through.” You may have heard that her mother is missing…

Fade to Casey and his groupmate Jermaine P. Jermaine did “Brickhouse” and Casey did “Bubbly.” Casey is in Room 1, while Jermaine is in Room 2.

After a VERY dramatic intro, we meet more of the contestants in Room 1:

Andrew Garcia and Katie Stephens…
Jermaine Sellers who did a good version of “Man In the Mirror” and then threw the band under the bus…
Sibohan ________ who did “Livin’ for the City”…
Buckeye Crystal Bowersox who played both the guitar and harmonica on “If It Makes You Happy”…
Alex Lambert, Michael “Big Mike” Lynche and Todrick Hall all did completely different versions of “I’m Yours”…
Thaddeus Johnson who did “Man in the Mirror” after the band finally got his song straight. He did a great version much to the delight of his mom…

I think it’s pretty clear that Room 1 is going through with probably several of them making the Top 24…
