PUNCH-OUT!!

Yesterday, Nintendo held the Nintendo Media Summit, which is short for, "The Nintendo Media Summit: Sorry About E3, Here's the Real Stuff." Anyway, they announced that my favorite game for the NES, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!! is being adapted for the Wii. It now drops Tyson, obviously, and takes the name Punch-Out!!. Here's a trailer.



Yes! Will Doc Louis be there? Will he ride a bike while L'il Mac runs alongside? What about Mr. Dream? Who will be there? Who stays behind? IS THIS A POINTLESS REVAMP OF READY 2 RUMBLE??? So many questions, so little time.

My favorite parts of the trailer:
1) The faithful adaptations of the characters.
2) THEY KEEP THE THEME SONG AND ADD HORNS! So awesome.
3) Is L'il Mac graying? I hope they make it so he's getting old, a la Solid Snake.

The game is coming during the first half of 2009. Exciting stuff. Stay tuned, there were more cool announcements.
