Artistic Project Update

So you probably think I forgot about my art project aspirations, didn't you? Well I didn't. But I also sort of abandoned ship for the original plans.

See, I thought about making the large River City Ransom magnet mural for my refrigerator door. Alas, I couldn't figure out a way to do it so all of the steam and water and various other elements that revolve around my refrigerator wouldn't harm the magnets. I didn't want them to get soggy, see, but I couldn't think of a material that would be dense but also cuttable. Anyway, after a lot of time and thought, I abandoned the project.

I still want to put something in the apartment that accentuates my love of video games and is also something that I've made by hand. I finally put two and two together.

I figured that I'd buy something that I could actually use in my apartment and spritz on some video game art. And what did I come up with? Aprons. That's right, I need aprons. I do a lot of cooking and I'm sick of getting flour on my black T-shirts. So here's the idea: I'm going to get some plain felt, use an X-acto knife, and stitch on some old Super Mario Bros. villains.

So I'd cut up some felt to make this:

And then I'll stitch it onto this:
OK, and now you can continue to not care about what happens in my living space.
