Monday, April 6, 2009Clue explanations and story on the winner to run tomorrow! Please be sure to grab a copy of the Tuesday edition. I need the sales! :-) Thanks again to all of you. I hope you had fun and what a GREAT weekend to be outside. We'll see you in July. MC Sunday, April 5, 2009Friday, April 3, 2009All is well in the world of egg hunting!Still hiding of course. A lot of folks are getting excited, though. I have to admit it puts a grin on my face - both because so many have so much fun and when I hear or read some off the comments. Good luck hunting and just remember a few things... * Stay away from private property. * Digging or destruction is not necessary. * The egg is always hidden in a safe location so climbing or trespassing is never an issue i.e. don't put yourself in harm's way. * Respect property! There is a never reason to deface, move or destroy anything! Thanks so much and good luck! MC Thursday, April 2, 2009Wednesday, April 1, 2009Still hiding!Happy rainy April Fool’s Day! April showers are officially upon us! I love it! No jokes today, though, unless you’re laughing at trying to figure out the morning’s clue. Best of luck on that one! The egg is still hiding. I did a little run by this week. Any of you stalking me will at least have a rough idea. I’m super careful, though, so don’t get too giggly. I won’t go by again during this contest. I just wanted to give myself a little piece of mind early on. That said there are enough clues out there already to point hunters in the right direction. I hope you’re enjoying this session of the contest. I know a lot of folks just do it for fun but don’t forget there’s an awesome cruise for the winner. We aren’t talking second rate either. We cordially asked our sponsor offer up a great prize and they sure enough did! So have fun hunting. VISIT THE SPONSOR. Read the clues twice over and keep dry! - MC Monday, March 30, 2009Easter Egg Treasure Hunt 2009 begins!Spring is the air and Easter is around the corner. That means two things. I can comfortably wear pastel dress shirts without catching too much grief from my lunch buddies, and there’s an Easter egg hiding somewhere in our market area. Yes, I said in our market area. I receive more calls regarding our market area than I do anything else related to the contest. Look below for a list. Consider it your first ever on-line clue! We adjusted the dates slightly this year to keep things close to the holiday. Thus the Thursday start date. I hope you folks don’t mind. Also, there was a bit of a snafu on Saturday. Two clues ran. One was for today (which did not run). To help with confusion; in tomorrow’s edition we'll re-run Sat.-Mon. clues all in one ad. Also, before there are any questions, we are having a little more fun with clues this year, even referencing some of our faithful hunters who participated in every contest (including the helmet). Don’t worry, no matter how much a few of them beg they have to wait for clues just the same as the rest! Click here for complete rules of the contest. Good luck and happy hunting! - MC P.S. be sure to visit our sponsor, Travel Doctors. We made sure they had some good clues this go round!
