Speaking of STOP Signs

This one is located at the intersection of 9th Avenue and 22nd Street in Huntington. This is only one of many traffic control signs citywide that are in need of replacement.

It would be almost understandable if someone were to run this one. Doesn't the City of Huntington Street Department ever inspect street and traffic control and directional signs?

Call me at 523-7902, if you see a traffic control sign that needs repaired or replaced. I'll make sure the folks at the City of Huntington are made aware of it.

C. Richard Cobb Sr. is an advocate for Huntington (WV) and Cabell County (WV) neighborhoods. In 1992, Cobb retired after 20 years as the CEO of convention centers, sports arenas and exhibition facilities. His management career began at the Charleston (WV) Civic Center in 1970. Later, he had stints at The Spectrum in Philadelphia (PA), the Indiana Convention and Trade Center in Indianapolis, the Augusta (GA) Coliseum, Bass Park Complex in Bangor (ME), the Huntington (WV) Civic Center, the Ironworks Convention and Trade Center in Columbus (GA) and the Gatlinburg Convention Center (TN). Richard founded a litter abatement group called Adopt YOUR Block – Be a Litter-Gitter in Huntington (WV) in 2006. It now has over 2,000 neighborhood volunteers who are committed to keeping the block on which they live free of litter. In 2006, Richard was a recipient of the National Jefferson Award for Outstanding Public Service.
