Specht Family of Texas Vases and Decanters

HEART OF GLASS BLOG Needs your photos and stories of BLENKO & WV GLASS, please send your photos to theblenkoproject@aol.com .
The Specht Family of Texas( see part of their collection at http://www.blenkoproject.org/ )collects Blenko as a family activity. They were kind to send the following photos and note the note has a description of the glass shown. If you haven't digitally photographed your Blenko consider doing it now. Tim Alonzo at the BCS last year suggested photographing each item, labeling the photo with date purchased, amount paid and all the info you have about the item. After you photo and label - send copy to us - or if you can't label - send copy someone maybe able to help. hjh
Hillary,
Hi Hillary,You had put out the call for photos last week and I finally found the time to respond. The first is of several different "finishes" using the same mold. It is fascinating to see how the various designers adapted with color and casing to change a simple vase design. I am still trying to find out whom to attribute the second vase. It is similar to Shepherds but is not listed in the Pina Books. Maybe Tammy can confirm? The second photo was during one of my "blue " days. Enjoy and feel free to share.
