Milligan to transfer

Marshall University wide receiver turned safety Bryant Milligan has left the team and plans to transfer. The 6-foot-1, 197-pound junior ranked third on the team with 17 receptions last season.

Thompson earns scholarship

Overachieving defensive end Demetrius Thompson was awarded a scholarship during Monday morning’s Marshall football practice. Moments after Thompson intercepted a pass, head coach Mark Snyder called a team huddle to announce that Thompson, a former Capital High School standout, now is a scholarship player.
