Half full or not so much?

On occasion, I’ve been accused wearing the “homer” badge during Marshall’s 0-7 start, pointing out enthused practices and gameday effort despite no scoreboard payoffs. Others say/write that they’re seeing what I’m taking in weekly – signs of real progress stirred with real concerns. So where do you fall, Thundering Herd fans? Is this team and program finding its way, or is 0-7 simply 0-7? Also, what can be accomplished in the regular season’s final five games?

Good news or bad?

This one’s pretty simple but could lead to a lively back and forth. Marshall fans, were you mostly encouraged or discouraged by Saturday night’s 38-31 loss at Tulsa? Yes, it was a sixth loss in as many games this season, but the Thundering Herd continually fought back and kept pace with Conference USA’s No. 1 offense. What do you think?

You make the call

Beyond the obvious (a win for goodness sakes), what do you most want to see when Marshall visits Tulsa next week? Is it a shift in personnel, coaching philosophies on either side or both? Feel free to don the coach’s cap and make the call. I’ll start off, calling for a few downfield shots to Darius Passmore and/Cody Slate early -- setting up the run with the pass.

Can this team turn around and come back with a decent end to the season?

What do you think needs to be done to improve the team?
