Questions? Comments?

The offseason is in full swing, but plenty of news surrounds Marshall football. It appears ESPN officials are interested in showcasing the season opener at West Virginia on Sunday night and national magazines are beginning to filter out with their annual predictions.
With that in mind, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the coming season. What do you think the Thundering Herd's record will be in 2006 and how will coach Mark Snyder's squad fare in its second Conference USA season?

Football in May? You betcha

There truly is no offseason in college football, so why not start a Marshall University football blog in May?

This is sports writer Anthony Hanshew of The Herald-Dispatch kicking off our Thundering Herd football blog. We’ll explore all aspects of Marshall football, including players, coaches, scheduling, facilities and the rest. Input obviously is appreciated as we work toward the 2006 season.

As for current headlines, Marshall head coach Mark Snyder hired Phil Ratliff as tight ends coach on Monday, replacing Shaine Miles. Ratliff, a member of Marshall's 1992 national championship team, realized a professional dream with Monday's announcement.
